Roberta is a fully lined blazer with an accentuated waist. It is close-fitting at the bust and waist and semi-fitted at the hips. There are side panels at the front and back. The back of the blazer is fitted with shoulder and waist darts as well as with a center seam. The front is shaped with vertical bust darts merged with the waist darts that end with the pocket openings. The blazer has single welt pockets with flaps and long, close-fitting, two-piece, set-in sleeves. The shape of the shoulder line is achieved with shoulder pads. The collar is a classic blazer notched lapel style, with a separate collar stand. The lapels and flaps have a rounded shape. The front edges are rounded at the hem. The blazer fastens with buttons and buttonholes at the center front. There are decorative running stitches along the center front, lapel, collar, and pocket flap edges. Roberta is mid-hip length.

The access to the video lessons is not limited in time.

- Video lessons on how to select the materials (main fabric, lining fabric, interfacing material, and notions).
- Step-by-step video lessons on how to cut and sew the toile and perform the fitting.
- Step-by-step video lessons on how to cut the main garment pieces, perform the fitting, sew the blazer using suiting and lining fabrics as well as interfacing. These video lessons include such steps like:
- sewing the flap welt pocket
- finishing the center front edge
- sewing the two-piece, set-in sleeve
- sewing the classic blazer notched lapel style collar with a separate collar stand
- attaching the lining to the garment
- sewing buttonholes by hand and by machine
- sewing decorative running stitches along the center front, lapel, collar, and pocket flap edges.
All the video lessons are divided into topics and provided in a consecutive order. Intense and concise, they are free from any irrelevant content.
- sewing machine for construction
- buttonhole foot (optional)
- sewing machine needles no. 80–90 for the suiting fabric
- sewing machine needles no. 70–80 for the lining fabric
- hole punch pliers for the rounded end of the keyhole buttonhole
- sewing machine needles no. 100 for stitching reference topstitching.

To sew this blazer, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties: medium weight, pliable, structured, plain colored or mélange, opaque, non-stretch or with little stretch. The fiber content can include:

natural fibers (with or without elastane): wool + elastane

blends (containing synthetic and/or artificial fibers): wool + polyester, viscose + polyester + elastane

synthetics: polyester.

The blazer in the photos is made of suiting fabric. The fiber content is a blend of polyester, cotton, wool, and spandex. This fabric is medium weight, pliable, structured, opaque, has little stretch, and creases a little.

Attention! We do not recommend:

stretchy fabrics (knits)

lightweight and sheer fabrics (chiffon, silk).

For the lining, choose fabrics made of viscose, viscose + polyester, or viscose + elastane. The lining fabric should be opaque, slippery, and pleasant to the touch.
