How to transfer pattern markings onto fabric? Check this video and photos.
Darts
Trace over one side of the dart using a ruler and something with a blunt edge, like closed scissors, and cut through the other side. When transferring darts onto your fabric, simply flip the dart piece open and trace inside the dart area. For an alternative way to do this, swipe to see the photo.
Сenter front line, pleats, waist folds on trousers, lapel fold line, etc.
Again, use the scissors and the ruler, trace over that line on paper, then fold this part of the pattern out of the way. To mark the loops' placement, fold the paper on top instead of underneath.
Pockets
Marking the pockets is also easy. Cut the pocket part out of the pattern and trace its outline onto the fabric. This can also be done by using pins or by making small holes in the pattern.
There are lots of different ways to do this, and we mix and match them as we please.
